Testimonials from my writing and presentations clients

I worked with Margaret on a large, complex and challenging project writing a standard operating procedure in a new and sensitive area of the business. The project required engagement with multiple stakeholders and handling large volumes of content.

Before Margaret joined the team, there was a real concern that we would not be able to meet our objectives, but she helped us to find the way to successfully accomplish what we had set out to do.

I would recommend working with Margaret to anyone who is looking for a talented writer who is not afraid of heavy lifting. Not only is Margaret highly professional in delivering her work, she is also a kind and lovely person to work with.

Margaret effortlessly created concise and engaging content that led to a very successful internal communications piece for a leading rail operator.

She developed literature about the company’s ethos, mission and working practices (the first of its kind in the company) which was rolled out to over 10,000 employees. The task required a real understanding of the company’s diverse audiences which was encompassed in her work from the outset.

I contracted Margaret as a senior editor for a complex project focused on psoriasis and well-being at the recommendation of one of her other clients.

She understood the brief very quickly, designed an approach that fitted our tight deadlines and delivered a level above the expectations. Moreover, she made the process easy for me and showed a lot of flexibility in using our tools and internal procedures.

Margaret was a pleasure to work with on both of our Family Folder projects. This included a comprehensive guide aimed at families of children newly diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), and a follow-on guide for families facing the difficult transition period between childhood and adulthood.

As editor and co-writer, she made an effort to understand our needs as a client and the needs of our patient community, while ensuring that the projects ran smoothly. The language, tone and content of the guides addressed difficult subject matters in a way that was appropriate for the audience, showing compassion and empathy, while offering straightforward, practical guidance.

The DMD community have benefitted enormously from these resources. The demand for the guides has been overwhelming. Families have told us how invaluable it is to have a reliable source of information and guidance as they navigate the challenges DMD brings to every aspect of their lives.

I would highly recommend Margaret to any organisation looking for a reliable and empathetic writer and editor for a complex and challenging project.

A talented individual, Margaret is passionate about her work and a font of knowledge in how to communicate effectively. Rarely have I worked with someone who pushes so hard for the very best end result in such a delightful and collaborative manner. Margaret is a joy to work with, a huge asset to the team and someone I recommend without reservation.

It was a joy to work with Margaret on the Coty Professional Beauty National Conference. She worked across all functions writing and editing scripts for the Managing Director, six directors and five key managers.

Margaret’s knowledge and experience made a huge difference to our workload and the quality of our scripts on this important day. She demonstrated patience and an excellent understanding of our key messages. She worked well with the more seasoned presenters and the less experienced ones.

The conference was a great success. Margaret was a key member of the team and one of the best speechwriters I have worked with.

Margaret is quick to get to the heart of what motivates customers and is able to use that understanding to produce communication materials that work with the customer and commercially.

In my experience, her skills and approach are effective in product and service environments, from the City of London finance businesses to Covent Garden publishing houses. She works well with people across teams and brings functions together around business outcomes. She gets each job done on time whether it is small or large.

As a result, I have brought Margaret into businesses on different occasions, knowing that I can hand over a set of tasks and objectives into extremely capable hands!

I worked with Margaret on a report for Macmillan. She was great to work with, a clear and confident communicator, who brought a wealth of experience to the table. She went above and beyond, passing on contacts that might be of use to us – overall, a pleasure to work with!

As Chairman of BKL would like to record my appreciation for Margaret’s help at BKL. In particular, she organised and delivered the Managers and Partners Conference.

Margaret helped me to design the concept and structure of the sessions. She produced most of the content. She wrote and delivered a presentations skills course for the participants who were speaking at the conference. All of them then delivered clear, strong presentations. She ran the whole event, including presenting one session herself.
